How to Create a Prolific Account

Step 1:

Visit Prolific's website here --> Prolific's official website.

Step 2:

In the top right corner, if you have an account then please select "Sign In". If not, please select "Start Earning" and continue following this guide.

Step 3:

Fill in your email, create a password, and enter your basic personal information. Once you have completed this form, please select "Next".

Step 4:

Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link inside to confirm your account. Once verified, you will be added to Prolific's participant waitlist.

Step 5:

Congratulations, you're finished! You may see a message that says you are on a waitlist - don't worry, Prolific should email you to communicate when you are off of that waitlist. Unfortunately, there is no timeframe for this, so please bare with us. Thank you for signing up to Prolific to help with our research project!

Step 6:

At some point (hopefully not very long!) you should recieve an email that says you are off the waitlist. Please follow Prolific's instructions from here so you can fully establish your account. If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the team.

Step 7: Payment

Prolific have a helpful guide which you can access here --> Prolific's guide to payment .

It will detail how they use PayPal to process your payment for taking part in the study. Additionally, there is a 'frequently asked questions' (FAQs) section at the bottom of this webpage to support you with this process.

Step 8: Paypal

If you are new to PayPal, please signup using this link --> Make a PayPal .

. Once you are set up, please then follow the above guide from Prolific. This details how to attach your PayPal account to your Prolific account so you can get paid.

Step 9: Once you're in...

Please select the 'about you section' and scroll down to the question that asks you if you are a military services veteran. Please select the relevant option(s) to you
